Our Learning Philosophy Approach

After extensive research on “Early learning and Child Education”, we found that conventional education can not fully develop children. So we focus on ‘Learning through play which covers seven areas of learning:

Physical development is the way children move their arms and legs (large motor skills) and their fingers and hands (small motor skills). Social development helps children get along with others. Teachers work with children on respecting others and working together. Emotional development lets children understand their feelings and the feelings of others. Language and literacy development help children understand and communicate through listening, talking, reading, and writing. Thinking, or cognitive, skills develop as children learn to think more complexly, make decisions, and solve problems. As young children explore, ask questions, and create, they improve their thinking skills.

Executive Director and Co-Founder: (Mrs Tapashi Mukhoti)

“Children are the grace of God and the hope of Humanity. Their improper education and unplanned nurturing may ruin all our hopes and may bring disgrace to their lives here and hereafter.”

Pre-school education is a child’s first experience outside the home. Here “Learning is not a race for information, it’s a walk of discovery”. The majority of brain development also occurs in early childhood.

We welcome you here, to a world of learning in enjoyable ways, to a world where every child is challenged to grow to his or her potential. This is a special place, where the students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff work together with a common mission and shared goals to prepare our children to be the best and happiest citizens of the world. We help our children realise that talents are gifts to be developed, not for self-satisfaction or self-gain, but for the good of society.

An opportunity is a gift from us to the students; what they can make of it is their gift to us and to society at large.

Warm Welcome to Annex Little Me School !

Before starting Annex Little Me, I’ve been asked why I stay so passionate about early childhood education. My answer is simple: these years are the most important of a child’s life! With new approaches to character development, literacy and learning, we now see even more clearly how crucial the first 2000 days are. During this time, children develop the skills and confidence that will shape their entire future.

Children come into the world ready to explore, full of curiosity and ideas. Supporting their early learning, especially in those formative years, is one of the greatest gifts we can give. Today’s instruction goes beyond just reading and writing; it’s about nurturing children’s voices, curiosity, and ability to connect with the world around them.

At Annex Little Me School, we create warm, inviting spaces where children feel safe to experiment and grow. Our unique themed U concept classrooms, outdoor areas, and special spaces, such as the Welcome Room, Who am I Corner, and our realistic arcades, are designed to spark joy and discovery. We believe that every moment of play and exploration helps children build the skills and confidence they need for a lifetime of learning.

I invite you to be part of this journey, whether by visiting, volunteering, or simply learning more about how we support young children. Seeing their wonder reminds me why this work is so important. Because when we invest in those first 2000 days, we’re shaping future learners, leaders, and dreamers.

Thanking you, Sourajit Karmakar Managing Director, Annex Little Me

Joyful Wednesdays filled with discovery

Learn Day Fun Day

At Annex Little Me, every Wednesday is celebrated as Learn Day – Fun Day, where children enjoy a perfect balance of learning and fun through engaging activities. This special day encourages children to explore, create, and participate in playful experiences that support their overall growth. Through art, games, movement, and interactive play, children develop fine and gross motor skills while improving their dexterity and coordination.

These enjoyable activities also help children build confidence, express themselves freely, and enhance their creativity. At the same time, they strengthen memory, visual learning, and decision-making abilities. Learn Day – Fun Day supports cognitive, physical, and social development, allowing children to discover new skills while experiencing the joy of learning through play.

Little little steps come to you – Walk them right and learn them too, Little little fingers come to you Hold them right and learn them too, Little little heart comes to you – Love with care and learn them too, Little little things make my little ‘Me’ – Special too.
